In 1992, a teenage Matt Stelter whelped his first litter of Collie puppies in his parents’ Northern Wisconsin home in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Over 30 years later, Matt & Anita Stelter continue to produce some of the finest Rough Collies in the world from their Southern Wisconsin home in Monroe, WI.
Wyndlair Collies has produced many National Specialty, All-Breed Best In Show, #1-ranked, and Westminster K.C. winners. Wyndlair genetics exists in many of the top Collie breeding programs in the United States. However, the Stelters’ greatest pride is placing top show-quality Collie puppies in loving Wisconsin homes where they will live their entire lives as central family members.

Our breeding program has been built upon generations of CCA National-winning dogs with an emphasis on supreme breed type, health, and temperament. Wyndlair Collies are bred to be elegant athletes, with exquisite head detail and correct Collie Expression.

First and foremost, we are a Wisconsin Collie family. We’ve dedicated our lives to the breed, its preservation, and its advancement. Our entire family is involved in the care of our Collies and raising puppies.

Our Location
Wyndlair Collies is located in Southern Wisconsin. We are easily accessible from Madison (1 hr), Milwaukee (2 hrs), Green Bay (3 hrs), Wausau (3 hrs), Eau Claire (3.5 hrs), and Rhinelander (4 hrs).
Beyond the Wisconsin state border are Chicago, Illinois (2 hrs), Des Moines, Iowa (4+ hrs), and Minneapolis, Minnesota (5 hrs).
