When working with world-class pedigrees containing transcendent dogs, you hope to maintain the quality of the past and not experience a regression toward the breed’s mean. Sometimes, however, you are fortunate enough to see further advancement.

“Anders” brings another level of head detail, expression, and beauty that is on par with our finest Collies ever. She has a balanced body with long, curved body lines, and a sound, effortless gait.

Anders finished at barely 8 months of age, undefeated in the classes in four specialty shows, the youngest in the breed in 2021. She debuted at just 7 months at the 2021 Collie Club of Southern Wisconsin specialties under breeder-judges Lori Montero and Connie DuBois. She came home with two specialty majors taking identical WB/BOW/BOS/BOV/BOS/BOB wins under each judge. She also went undefeated in the non-regular classes taking Best of BOW under Judge Montero for her first CCA Loving Cup and Best Puppy under Judge DuBois.

A month later, she picked right up where she had left off. She started the day going Best in Sweeps (15 entered) at the 2021 Northern Wisconsin Collie Club under top breeder Lauren Falk (Aurealis). She then went WB/BW/BOV over top specials under breeder-judge Lily Russell at the Northern Wisconsin Collie Club. Later in the day, she finished her championship going WB/BW/BOS/BOV over specials under breeder-judge Mike Van Tassell for her 4th specialty major in 4 shows. As a move-up special the next day, she went BOS/BOV under Sheltie judge Debra Tessman.

Later in the spring, she completed her Grand Championship in top Midwest specialty competition – once again, the youngest in the breed to do so. She made her all-breed debut at 11 months of age, winning all three Best of Varieties over a large specials entry and took 2 Herding Group 2s and a Herding Group 1, making her first appearance in the Best In Show ring to finish her incredible puppy campaign. She finished as the 2021 #12 Rough Collie (Hawkins System) and was the Breed’s youngest Champion and Grand Champion for the year

She made the final cut at the 2023 CCA National Specialty and took a CCA Award of Merit under Judge Larry Willeford. She also took her first Best In Show at her first all-breed show of 2023.

We are excited about Anders’ future – both in the whelping box and in the specials ring. She will return to the specials ring at the 2025 CCA National in Syracuse, New York.
